leading with support + strategy, get to know Brie McWade…

Brie McWade is chief creative + owner of advisory house design, and resides in the Los Angeles area.

She works with clients across the US to offer creative support and strategy to businesses like Composed Living, Natty Style, Equalizer Consulting, and Food Access LA, to name a few. By aiding in creative direction, content creation, digital and brand communications, she helps businesses grow through intentional marketing strategies.

Brienna has long-time personal experience with entrepreneurship, start-up, and brand ownership. Her retail venture Advisory Goods — a modern-makers creative studio for art, craft, and textiles — operated in Sierra Madre during the pandemic years; Acclivity, an "adventure recreation" lifestyle brand + CPG company launched in the San Diego recreational cannabis market in 2017.

A creative since childhood - and doodling since she could hold a pencil - Brie returned to her creative roots in 2016 after nearly two decades that included contact negotiations, technical writing, and corporate inventory & revenue management.

from the pnw…

Born and raised in Seattle, Brie spent her first 35+ years immersed in all things "Pacific Northwest.” She loves the Seattle Mariners, anything salmon, and has a special place in her heart for the pine needle trails of Mt. Rainier. Making the most of the PNW drizzle, she was often found in the garden. Her volunteer work ranged from sitting on the board of Rainier Hills Photo Club or event planning for King County Fire District 2. She also loved every opportunity to work with children and served as an elementary art docent from 2012 to 2017.

Combining her strategic communications, and analytical-minded background with her creative design skillset and divergent thinking, Brie now works with business to support fresh + thoughtful brands.

when not working

Brie spends extensive time outdoors, discovering all pockets of the West — along with its national parks — by frequently road-tripping through the US. She breaks for street art, mountain streams, and wildflowers which gives her inspiration and space for continued creativity as does her commitment to the beach every Sunday with her dog and brand ambassador, Dutch. To unwind, she can be found solo-camping somewhere within view of the PCH, hiking or exploring for graffiti art and architecture.

Brie is an artist and has been featured on podcasts, in online publications, and has displayed her illustration art to the public. Continually expanding her illustrative + creative skillset, Brie regularly engages in LA’s artist community. Being a continual learner and insatiable creative, she guides monthly creative workshops in Woodland Hills and Sierra Madre — hosted by Composed Living and Big Daddy’s Garage.

An avid and eager volunteer, she earned her LA County Master Gardener certification through the University of California agriculture extension and served the communities of Altadena and Alhambra from 2021 - 2023. As a modern quilter, she dedicates sewing time since 2016 to Project Linus, a nationwide volunteer service that provides quilted blankets to children of trauma.

Brie continues to pursue her path in community engagement by serving on the board of directors with Los Angeles non-profit Composed Giving and speaking on the monthly business networking panels at Women Entrepreneurs Community.
